For all the pedal pushers out there that love long distance cycling. There are no gear requirements and no 'minimum distances' here.

Have you ridden for a cheeky overnighter or a 3 year global trek? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.

Have you got panniers, bikepacking bags or just a backpack with the essentials? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.

Have you got the latest in carbon engineering or your dads old 10 speed from the 70's? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.

Headlines in the form of "X can/will make Y a thing of the past" are bizarre to me. With the rare exception of direct technological replacements -- eg "Fax will make Telex a thing of the past" -- it's just a lay opinion wrapped in the clothing of news.

No doubt that's indeed an elegant bike trailer in the preview photo, but why add conflict with bikepacking? Why not appreciate that both have their place in this world? The pursuit of one does not take away from the other. It's not even in tension anyway: this is arguably just a form of larger bikepacking.

The quality of editors writing headlines these days, it leaves much to be desired.

Yeah, for a huge amount of publications quality has taken a huge dive in favor of chasing clicks and making money.

Still counts as bikepacking if you ask me, but what do I know?

Finally we can stop bikepacking ;)

It's totally not bikepacking if you use a trailer I guess.

Yeah that too.

To me these bike caravans seem more like a novelty thing or some fun tinker projects and not something that makes all that much sense though tbh.

Yeah, climbing with a giant trailer sounds rough. I'll stick with my hammock and tarp.

It's gorgeous, and it clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Personally, I'd probably go with a pop-up design so it's more roomy when camping, but smaller when towing.

Pretty neat. Interesting how there is significantly more restrictions on this compared to the US. You could slap that together and probably not even need to register it with anyone due to it not being connected to a car.
