As an adult I sometimes realise I could just go out in my car and buy cake if I had a car and a whole-ass cake wasn't an expense I'd have to budget for before impulse-buying on a whim ):

As an adult with kids, there is nothing more satisfying than to stealthily eat sweets, while your kids play in the same room. And not get noticed. Very hard to pull off. But so satisfying. Because you can think about eating chocolate and they come running.

I prefer eating over the span of two days and them feeling guilty about eating so much so fast. Definitely healthier
