Where can someone buy a great bag of kona coffee as a gift to bring back to the U.S. mainland for a coffee lover. What time of year is best to buy it? Do you recommend a specific company? Price range is $75 or under.

Will be able to fly into Kailua-Kona, Honolulu, Kahului, or Kauai.

I've never been to Hawaii, and have never tried Kona coffee. Forgive me if this question sounds silly.

If they’re a normie coffee lover, whatever brand of preground 100% Kona the store has the most of should be fine. In Honolulu, Don Quijote in town and the Keeamoku Walmart have shitloads, just make sure it’s 100%. Can grab a ton of random souvenirs and gifts while you’re there too.

If they’re a Reddit coffee lover, stop trying and just ask them what local specialty brand they want. It’s gonna be whole bean for sure and anything else will disappoint them secretly.

Thanks for your insight. It's gotta be whole bean, 100% Hawaiian grown. Was hoping to find someone with a strong opinion. I will be sure to avoid the pre ground Walmart stuff.
