Hey! Just a tip if you didn't know about this already; you can very easily put your rules and other info in the community sidebar. This declutters your community post list by not needing un-necessary pinned posts. The community sidebar is made for this reason :)
StarCraft
A Lemmy.world instance dedicated to everything Brood War or StarCraft II.
Rules:
- Abide by the Lemmy.world rules outlined in this link. These are instance-wide rules.
- Posts must be related to StarCraft in some way (i.e. fan art, esports, gameplay, guides, events.) Please note that we are temporarily also allowing posts related to Stormgate, Frost Giant's upcoming RTS. More info here
- No pornographic or lewd content. This isn't LemmyNSFW...
- Any accusations made against a commentator, pro player, content creator, Blizzard employee or other noteworthy personality must include substantive evidence.
- Encouraging users to contact sponsors and other stakeholders with negative feedback on another person/org is not permitted.
Understood. I thought the sidebar was more limited on Lemmy. I will bear that in mind moving forward.
That's allright!
Allow stormgate discussion
You know what, I actually agree, at least until Stormgate is released or has a Lemmy community of its own.
What about memes and shitposts? The subreddit didn't really allow those, at least for a time.
Memes and shitposts are cool. I want this place to go in a different direction to the Starcraft on Reddit, which was a bit too focused on the esports side of things. Part of it is because I didn't like the way certain moderators ran the show.
Also, I realised I replied to your comment 4 months late... Oops 😅
Better late than never! And hey, I totally agree. The ban on memes was extremely lame and I /r/starcraftmemes was private for some reason. I already shitposted a meme that got relatively popular :)
Just thought I'd say hi, or should we have a separate thread for that? Currently replaying starcraft as remastered. I really suck at it, but still find it really fun. The fantastic script is probably a part of it. I love the campaigns. Prefer protoss as a people but I can't play them so I prefer terrans as a gamer.
