Ten seconds on Google produce an incidence of homeless a full 10% lower:

It's important to have your facts in order, as people are prone to completely dismiss the entire premise if they learn of any inaccuracy (and opponents will laser focus on it too, in a deliberate attempt to provoke said dismissal).

The numbers for families might differ from those for individuals, but that's just me guessing.

It's funny because the overt racists use this talking point to show how violent people of color are. Like, they can't imagine anything else causing this unlikely distribution because they're not currently in prison.

Conservatives don't like any analysis of material conditions, that might make them uncomfortably question their world view. Way easier for them to blame it on 'internal' factors, like race or 'culture,' and justify their racism instead of acknowledging the systemic racism in our institutions

Leftism always has a problem with messaging. To the average punter "racialized housing deprivation" is just a jumble of words that's doesn't really mean anything. The reason the rightsl's ideas do so well, other than being nebulous and not bound by truth, is because they are concise and provoke emotion.

That's not what it says though.

Sorry, am dyslexic, but the point still stands.
