My birthday came and went, with two new pedals for my board. The expression pedal is the EP-25k, for use with the Pitch Fork and the tremolo. But alas I only have the one TRS cable for now, so I've only tried it with the Pitchfork. Really fun, and pleasantly different than using a vibrato arm on the guitar.

The EQ I haven't hooked up yet. I need to flip the board and look at my power situation as I don't have any slots left on the C-spot. The main intent for that pedal in the near-term is for when I switch from humbuckers to single coils. Presently plugging in my Strat is just really underwhelming as everything is set more for my PRS 24-08 and Epi 335. A longer-term interest with the EQ pedal is for splitting my chain for wet/dry between the Prince of Tone and the Micro Flanger.

I feel like the carcosa is probably the most niche pedal you are rocking here, and it's the only one I also have so interested to hear your thoughts on it.

It's not actually on my board RN; I'm using a fuzz war and an octave fuzz in that sorta position at the min

Yeah I'm decidedly less boutique in my selections then @[email protected]! I love checking out the pedals they post. For a while I just had a Danelectro Fab Tone, Cool Cat, and Dan-echo. I actually didn't realize how much MXR I have until typing out the Alt text for the picture over on pixelfed.

I've been pretty happy with the Carcosa so far. It's the only fuzz I've had, but the Fab Tone could get pretty fuzz-like, just not really the velcro sound. So I mostly try to keep the Carcosa with a bit of that spitty velcro edge to it. I haven't really noticed too much difference between Demhe and Hali modes.

I guess the fuzz settings can depend a lot on all the other factors like your pickups, and any other impedance-affecting things, maybe it's more noticeable with a more direct line

I do like me some DBA so that time shadows that was posted in the week is tempting for sure but I already have 3 delays going!
