I see Hollywood is totally out of ideas again.

Ridley Scott has been talking about the expanded collection of stories and histories he has for Alien for like forty years.

In this one they meet the Romulans? From Star Trek?

[–] Telodzrum 9 points 5 months ago

We don’t talk about Nemesis.

Wait, what's the left arm holding..?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Exactly what I was wondering; it always had a single tail, are they just fist pumping into the air that they’re finally being deep throated by an alein?

I avoid franchise movies on premise, and the only time I’ve been disappointed has been when I’ve given one a chance.

Surely those fingerlegs couldn’t have that strong a grip on their head? I reckon I could take one off me.

You gotta deal with its ovipositor shoved down your esophagus and its tail around your neck squeezing tight. Havent you seen Alien?

[–] Anticorp 9 points 5 months ago

Did you forget that the tail wraps around your neck, and when you start prying on the legs they tighten their tail? They'll choke you to death if you try to remove them. You can't cut them off, because the powerful acid will kill the person. They're perfectly evolved for this one thing. Kinda crazy, since this is the first time they've met people, but they're already perfectly evolved to prey on people.

Once they start deep throating you it's game over. Some like it, too!

What about a bear? Could you take on a bear?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

We talking like a polar or a teddy here?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

The most vicious species of all bears... the mighty Berenstain

[–] Anticorp 4 points 5 months ago

Not this again!

Idk you ever hold a tiny beetle and get to feel how oddly strong and grippy their legs are?

I just picture a giant beetle mask

Don't underestimate inverts. Coconut crabs are a little bigger, and are strong enough to climb trees. An alien facehugger could be just as strong and you wouldn't be able to get it ofd with brute force.
