As an alternative you can try using the streaming service through any Chromium browser.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

I think I figured it out. It was launching 2.0.0 beta instead of 2.3.0.
Nah, I think greenlight is just a bad app. It's not working again. It only works once, then it stops again until I reset my xbox, then it works once again, one time, before the cycle repeats.
Stop complaining on Lemmy and file an issue on GitHub if you want the bug to be fixed

I've been using Greenlight for quite some time (not on the Steam Deck) but never had any issues. It works fantastically for me.
Sounds like you got it working, but I was going to mention that NonSteamLaunchers can easily set up a game mode app for xbox streaming. I believe it's doing so by making a fullscreen web app though, so greenlight will hopefully offer a better experience if you have it working.
