References to Israel as an 'enemy' have also been altered in new editions of school curricula, in an apparent toning down of hostile language

Saudi textbooks have removed the name “Palestine” from most maps where it previously appeared, a study by an Israeli think-tank said.

The study, conducted by the NGO Impact-se, tracks changes in Saudi school textbooks over the past five years, as reflected in the 2023-24 academic year.

It reviews 371 textbooks published between 2019 and 2024, and highlights content removed, altered or that which remained unchanged.

A social studies textbook for grade 12 defining Zionism as a racist movement was no longer taught from 2023, while another textbook still taught has removed the chapter about the Palestinian cause, the study revealed.

According to the study, the social studies textbooks for grades five and nine consistently don't name Palestine or Israel on maps, which is an omission from the 2022 versions which only named Palestine on the map.

So what's the point of this Israeli NGO? That because another Arab country that has economic interests removed mentions of Palestine, then the Israeli government is allowed to remove from existence the Palestinians?

It appears to be an israel think tank organisation that's happy Saudi is bowing down to israel. From their study:

The portrayals of Israel and Zionism has shown further progress. Libelous examples were removed, notably those describing Zionism as a “racist European movement”; accusing Zionists of the 1969 al-Aqsa Mosque arson; and framing the expansionist intentions of Israel and takeover of religious sites as being the impetus for the Six-Day war. Israel is still not recognized on maps, but in some instances the name ‘Palestine’ was also removed. Several problematic examples still appear in some textbooks.

The Saudi government wants American weapons. America will provide those weapons in exchange for Saudi bowing down to israel like America does.

The problem is that the Saudi populace is too educated on israeli war crimes to accept this. So removing Zionism related material from the education system seems to be an effort from the Saudis to slow boil the frog.

So what's the point of this Israeli NGO

To pretend to be an independent entity while de facto being a propaganda arm of the fascist apartheid regime like AIPAC, I bet.

Well Saudi Arabia has been doing its own genocide in Yemen, so Saudi Arabia joining Israel is just birds of same feather flocking together.
