You left out "TRUMP 2024" painted on a barn in fading paint with tattered American flags around it

I’ve seen the billboards in Minnesota and the states that border it. And not just here and there, I’ve seen stretches of road where it’s every 3rd billboard.

They have thousands of signs including locations in other countries. I'm not sure what the current count is, but 10 years ago there were 100 Wall Drug signs between Rapid City and Wall (about an hour drive on I-90).

My friend and I were on a cross country road trip, and we started seeing Walldrug billboards like 3 states away. We ended up stopping just to see what the hell it was.

Very touristy, vaguely old timey shops, pretty good ice cream. 8/10 would satisfy my curiosity again

Isn't that way out west i thought? There are a lot of signs for it tho

I saw a bunch of signs going north towards Fargo on the interstate two states south. Like what the hell is the hype over a damn drugstore? I've been to CVS/Walgreens theyre basically Dollar General with a pharmacy.

Guy below says it's something different tho so idk. I didn't go cuz I had a damn UHaul to move. 0/10 will not recommend moving ever.

Everywhere in the US looks the same from Wendover

Stroads from Not Just Bikes

Don't mistakenly think this is a unique piece of midwest culture. Pretty much every highway exit looks the same in the US. The billboards are interchangeable. You practically can't tell them apart. Sub out one regional chain for a different regional chain that is SO different (but actually exactly the same). Our culture of extraordinarily bad land use meshing with our financial system that favors national chains that export wealth over local businesses that builds communities is just gradually turning all of our places into ugly, expensive, worthless trash.

I've only ever seen one Lion's Den, and it's gone now. Fireworks billboards all around the borders of the state, because we used to have very restrictive fireworks laws. They aren't anymore, but the shops still remain near the borders. Never seen a Kwik Trip. Or a Cheese. Or a Hell is Real. Might've seen a Cracker Barrel sign once. I know where one used to be, but it's long gone now after an outbreak of .. lysteria? i think, was unable to be purged from the property, and the entire property was condemned and slated never to be used again.
