Aw, but mimics sometimes carry great loot. And the trap gave you a good angle to fight them.

And I can't remember, do they give XP? Can't leave XP just lying around.

Maybe just go back later with better gear.

That's how I felt last night. The level was dark and this asshole was zapping me from the shadows. I walked back through the door and held down the wait button to pass the turns until he came down to me, and ended up passing way too much time by accident. Then some other robot came around behind me, and I figure it was that one taking the long way around for some reason, so I walked back into the door and got zapped in the face again. This all happened within seconds and I yelled out loud!

I finally stopped time to go see what was up...

I guess robots blasting out giant bolts of electricity doesn't wake up skeletons.

Need to have Swarm intelligence for that, enemies normally don't alert others. Depending on your loadout, something to blind then ranged damage is one good option, the other is to just walk up to the skelly so the robot can't shoot you (e.g. yellow seed to avoid taking hits).

I was speaking figuratively, not within the rules of the game.

And yes, that's all excellent advice. That's how I deal with a lot of ranged enemies, but most of our battles start with me opening a door, getting face-blasted, then closing the door and holding down the wait button. Then as soon as they open the door, they're in melee range where they are easy prey; especially with the sneak attack.

It usually costs just a few turns, but this time it didn't go as planned, and turned out to be a whole comedy of misunderstanding. ๐Ÿ˜‚
