I don't think housing is going to get more affordable without government intervention at this point. The market has been too far captured by people trying to exploit it for profit.

Prices were still coming down, the bottom seemed to be around 2012, but yes still a great time to buy compared to now.

Yep, the best time to buy was fifty years ago, the second best time is now.
