They specifically said they won’t say anything further than “it will be supported”. That doesn’t mean anything, it’s vague handwaving. Supported how, when the whole dev team has been laid off? What it sounds like is the game has been put into maintenance mode until they finally decide in a year to abandon it.

My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.
Other communities:
"Don't worry, we fired all of the people that told us not to shove paid DLC into every aspect of the game, and now we are cruising along for a full release next summer. Pre-Order the digital still-won't-suck-your-dick edition for only $109.99 and get a 5 song soundtrack, 3 HD wallpapers and a half-assed content pack that you'll forget about 30 minutes into the game."
For those who want to try a nice KSP spiritual successor, check out Juno: New Origins. It's regularly being updated and has lots more content than the first KSP.
Here I was, all super hyped to go grab a new game like the OG KSP... turns out I already own it.
Apparently I have a problem lol
This article is garbage and the headline is misleading. https://youtu.be/6zkkJtCh22E?si=4DiCNZJgOY4AzxXK
Developer Intercept Games does indeed seem to be getting shut down :( There's coverage at Eurogamer and lots of other sites, mostly pointing back to Jason Schreier (paywalled ofc because it's fucking Bloomberg).
It's not at all clear what that means for the game. "Safe" seems unlikely.
Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

I sure hope so. This game is still very early cut, but it has potential.
It's getting better, but I'm super disappointed they're no where close to having interstellar stuff. That's the whole reason I bought the game!
Patience. It took a literal decade for KSP1 to get where it is at now.
I didn't refund it because I was patiently hoping the dev team would make the game that was promised, looks like I patiently waited for the whole dev team to get fired so I don't think there's really anything left to wait for.
True but KSP1 also had mod support from early on, allowing the community to make up for the game's shortcomings.
Damn, glad I refunded this game but I've had it on my wishlist for a relook after it left early access. This is really sad news.
Man, same. I bought it, then learned it wouldn't even have career mode and immediately refunded it.
