Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

It just looked off so after staring at it for a few minutes I noticed the letters on the right side were mirrored, noticed the stains on the ceiling, then the books being askew at the exact same places. Went to bing.com and it's a different image of the same place entirely

Thought it was mildly interesting idk

I think that's the Long Room at Trinity College Dublin, and it isn't that long

That’s what Bing said it was, Trinity college Dublin, when I looked on Bing wallpaper this morning

This was interesting enough before you posted the one from Bing's website of a completely different picture. Obviously it isn't odd for there to be more than one professional photograph of the place, but for them to be able to be mixed up by Bing like that is really odd. I wonder if someone noticed the mirrored image after it was already selected as "photo of the day", then just changed it to a visually similar one, but not everything got updated.

Saw this briefly today as well and thought it was AI generated.

The cool teal lake mirroring pines and mountains also had a fun mixup: fucine lake and fusine lake are two, entirely different Italian lakes. One has a really cool alpine view, the other is a really historical cool lake drained hundreds of years ago and known for tomatoes.
