We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

It’s tax day here in the US. I’ve got mine ready to submit but of course something goes wrong and it want to charge me for a feature I didn’t use. I’m hoping they email back a fix. Taxes are triggering enough. Paperwork is my nemesis and especially taxes. :(

Did mine yesterday, I found out a couple of months ago that taxes weren't withheld from my check or my wife's all year and ended up owing $4000, I've never owed taxes at the end of the year in my life. This year I'm actually checking my pay stubs to make sure taxes are coming out as they're supposed to.

Oh crap. They will do a payment plan FWIW. I’m on my now because I had something similar last year.

I will not drink today - or rather did not drink today and will continue to do so cause I'm posting this in the evening. Happy tax day to you all!
