As the title says. Looking for something zero drop with a wide-ish toe box that can be worn to semi-formal / dress type events. Would love any community input!

Sorry for commenting late, but one of the very few options for formal dress shoes seems to be Carets. No direct experience but I’m eyeing a couple of models and will buy one this year, probably.

Those look very nice as well, thank you! I'll report back if I get a pair.

I've been using Groundies for some years yet https://www.groundies.com They look like nicer than many others, IMO, with good fabrics and durability. Not affiliated here in any sense, just my exprience.

Thank you! I'll look into them.

Sorry for my ignorance: "zero drop" means no heels?

[–] pianoplant 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Yes, that's right. Most men's shoes have a 1-2 cm lift in the heel but having no lift (flat front to back) is much easier on your back.

I know Softstar makes full on Oxfords, BeLenka has some dressy options that aren't necessarily strict dress shoes. I bought a pair of BeLenka icons in black that certainly perform in most dressed up settings. Currently Belenka don't have it in stock on the website but they have something close in the 'synergy' lineup.

I have these Bohempia Sneakers, they look pretty sleek. I'm not the biggest fan of these shoes, but they are zero drop and have a wide toe box. I just think the high outsole is compromising the flexibility, but it's not that big of a deal.

Thanks, I'll take a look
