In my opinion, this is sort of a non-issue. TSA has been a joke for a long time, and if this ACTUALLY makes us safer, I'm not going to dismiss it out of hand. Is it creepy, yes. Do I think that we're on a slippery slope? Probably yes. Was the guy able to say no, without real consequence? Yes. Was the comment from the TSA worker probably because they were wanting to be lazy, or because there is some big photo cabal? I'm going with lazy. The fact is that you have your photo in a database already for your drivers license and passport, so for them to match against it with a photo isn't a big deal to me.
