Edit: People, I didn’t ask for your opinion on if I should shave it. If you don’t have actual experience with the topic in question please stop replying, its not helpful in the slightest.

Saw a video on YT and looked kinda interesting, but trying to find any more info just led to shops and channels that don’t seem legit in the slightest.

Any real people got experiences with them?

Do you have to replace them often? prices look a bit much to be purchasing often.

How do you deal with say not being able to use it if it breaks, do you just go balding until you can get a new one and freak everyone out who only knows you with nice hair in the interim?

Youtube has been pitching me those videos as well recently, but they look like thinly veiled ads. Ever since I had a tiny bit of hair loss I just started shaving it all, and I'll never give up the convenience of a polished plate again.

I’m not really a fan of the bald look myself, so not something I’m keen on pursuing.

Eventually you may have to choose between:

  • clean bald look
  • balding but trying to hide it look
  • fake toupee look

...and realize the bald look isn't so bad.

I don’t have problem with hair, but I like shaving to #1.

Naw just shave it now. Seems like too much trouble for me, because I do not care.

Yeah, you’re better off just shaving it.

People will be able to tell you have a hair piece.

Same. I just stick with #2 on my trimmer. Lasts a few weeks before it's intolerably messy.

I would look into legitimate wig makers. Local is best. Choose the hair you want and don't live in fear.

Just make sure to transition gradually if your device to go back to being bald

I agree with others that best policy is to shave bold or very short. I do #1, because i find it most convenient.

If you really want to check the product it is best to go to product website (they usually promote and sell). Read their legal statements. Most of them will point there that product makes no claims of medical use, it is just a supplement, it is not FDA approved. It is for entertainment purposes only.

The legal small print on the website itself will tell you if you should buy or not. It protects website from liability and they gamble that most people don’t read it.

You will spend less time going through legal statements than looking for “other people’s unbiased opinion“ on internet. The latter may not even exist as products can be rebranded every 6 months.
