How did her 2nd in command end up with a longer sentence?
He was repeat exec who arguably should have known better. He also was closer to the actual lab operations and the functional execution of fraudulent activities.
I’m not sure I buy it.
She had a better lawyer?
It’s the US and he’s not as rich as her.
If she had more money she would’ve stayed out of jail.
Could be that he was less of a sympathetic figure due to his ostentatious and flashy spending habits, and... she's a woman.

It seems particularly absurd considering her husband of 4 years, Billy Evans, comes from a wealthy family (hotel owners) and apparently has a successful tech career.
I'll bet $100 right now that she doesn't serve 9 years.
