I'll get some Aciclovir tomorrow. Any other advice? The rash is in the worst possible spot central to all of my major bone fracture injuries.

It just had to piggyback the 10 year anniversary of a broken neck and back...

Depending on how quick you caught the shingles, the Aciclovir could in theory stop the pain in it's tracks.

I had shingles and caught it (started antivirals) just as the blisters began to form. Had a week of severe sunlight sensitivity, (I had a sunburn in 30 seconds, which was weird), but the pain (which I placed for the week prior as a solid 10/10) packed up and left day 2 of treatment.

Pain management for shingles is something that you really should discuss with a Dr, or at the least, a pharmacist, as some of the relief methods are by prescription.
