Reading this article hurt my brain, I felt like I was rereading the same sentences 5 times.

TLDR: In Pixel 8 phones only, in Android 14, Google will probably (if it makes it out of beta) enable the hardware video out of the USBC port, and the desktop mode of Android similar to Samsung's Dex.

This is the one (software) feature I'm still missing from my Galaxy S9; I typically spend a lot of time in places with very poor internet, so the ability to download media and watch it on a TV from my phone is great.

There doesn't seem to be a good way to disable it though, except for setting the usb port to "charging only"
