Thank you! This has been an awesome journey so far and also my most successful. There has been no rehab, AA or any of that jazz this time around. Like most of us here, I have quit drinking dozens of times before. This time around, I realized that booze had no part to play in my life anymore.
It was just time to stop killing myself slowly and learn to love life again.
I quit several times also ,cigarettes too before making it . I told my Dr. I had quit ,and he said " you haven't really quit till you die without another one ,until the you've just stopped" I was like Damn Doc give some credit here lol.
Closing up on a year! That’s very impressive!
My perception of time has change a ton over the last year, for sure. I used to drink to forget and the time literally just disappeared.
In the most positive way possible, this has actually been the longest year I can ever remember in my life since I started drinking.
That sounds amazing! Congratulations on reclaiming time for yourself! We may not know one another, but I’m very proud of you!
