Ricciardo's current role is team mascot. There is no way he returns to Red Bull and anyone paying attention can see it. He's there to drum up views on the socials.

He left in the first place because he didn't want to be second to Verstappen. And he failed at being the lead driver at both Renault and McLaren. With McLaren choosing to go after rookie piastri.

Unless Ricciardo gets desperate and accepts the Haas offer. I don't think we'll be seeing him on the grid anytime soon.

This comment aged pretty quickly. A driver always wants to race, and he's clearly pretty happy about it.

I think that’s how it’s going to continue to be. DR has next to no chance of getting the RB seat. I’d be surprised if they’re even willing to give him an AT seat.

They need to start taking drivers from the academy again in order to continue that pipeline

Agreed. I tho k if he showed significant promise they would have implied as much but it seems his form dropped enough where they don't think it's worth it. I wonder if RB would help him get a drive in another team, would let rb see how he does with minimal risk an dhav him in back pocket for second driver...

Not really - milk lasts a few weeks at least

Yea but if Perez shits the bed the rest of the year there’s a good chance they take a closer look at ricciardo. If Perez is still failing come summer ‘24 SOMEONE else will be given the chance surely
