I think the recent popularity of the Deadpool trailer (365 million views in 24 hours which is the new record) shows that people aren't actually tired of superhero movies. Reading comments from folks, it's more that they're sick of cookie-cutter movies made by people who aren't fans of the source material. There's a difference between a superhero movie produced by corporate committee for profit and one made by a team of enthusiasts who know and respect the established IP.
Ryan Reynolds is actually a great example of this. People hated his first appearance as Deadpool in the Wolverine movie. They hated his Green Lantern. Ryan hated both, and worked really hard for many years to get the version of Deadpool he loved onto screens. Suddenly people were big fans of the universe-accurate, fan-made Deadpool movies and I think people are really looking forward to the new one.
