God Fabrizio Romano really is just a Chelsea mouthpiece now. "I think it's important to remember that [Mudryk] was never forced to sign anything" ffs his home country is a warzone and Shakhtar Donetsk's stadium hasn't been available for 10 years; and it gave literally millions of dollars to the war effort, for a lad that is like, basically my age; it's about as close as you can get to being coerced without being physically tied to a chair and forced to sign it

To be fair, he's almost definitely getting "consultant" fees from basically every top club in Europe to be their mouthpiece.

Yep - no good reason for mudryk to accept any situation where he stays at Shakhtar. That's probably the one choice for his career that would have been worse than going to Chelsea, although Chelsea is a pretty shitty option too.

I mean that too, but I'm more referring to the fact that the entire Shakhtar board probably would've basically been forcing him out for the money and also again, the fucking war

Viv needs another surgery, minor but I can't help but think we rushed her back 🙃

I feel like punditry has been about that for a while now, but maybe it's taken another step up? Or maybe media coverage is just perpetuating it more.

They may have fair points but, it would be nice for change to just have a breakdown of the game. Sure, you can banter and muck about but, it's usually all about a controversially take or it's presented in a way to draw outrage like Neville's “blue billion-pound bottle jobs”. Sure, in a way he's right but, it's been presented in a way to draw ire and attention and I'm a little over listening or seeing Neville all the time.

The Rest Is Football is a great watch/listen. They don't do a deep analysis or breakdown of games but, they're insightful and honest. Definitely recommend.

I wonder how it feels like being a Sheffield united defender. Football isn't the entirety of their lives despite playing in a setting as high profile as the premier league but how do they manage to stay neutral(let alone positive) when their workplace situation is that bad?

Hopefully Maddy's death will make things better. Not too familiar about the men's side but the women's seems like absolutely horrible.
