Gonna have to disagree with you on this one. He was acting exactly the opposite of the way I would expect a Vulcan, even a half-Human one, to behave. And there was no point where you see him reject his human side for his Vulcan side. We know in the original timeline that happens when Michael leaves him. Maybe there was no Michael in the Kelvin timeline, but I still do not care for a Spock that act like that.

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

My head canon is that it's not really Spock, it's Sylar who's found himself marooned in the future and trying to blend in as best he can.
Oo... or maybe it's Sybok and he stole Spock's identity to get a hold of a Federation starship and get to Sha Ka Ree.
His planet was destroyed, which forced him to grow rapidly. This is a very different Spock who had to embrace his human side fairly quickly, as he no longer had the Vulcan to fall back on. His relationship with Kirk was fast tracked, along with his relationship with Uhura, made him more human and emotionally volatile
This is exactly the reason why I don't like the fact that they used the same characters in the Kelvin timeline but gave them totally different personalities. Why not just use different characters?
(I know, the answer is that the producers knew how to get butts in movie theater seats and maximize their profits.)
Because it wouldn't be a proper cash grab if they didn't re-use as many recognizable names as possible.
He was exactly as snotty and self-superior as I would expect from a younger Vulcan sick of a bunch of Humans' bullshit.
It's rare to see a "yes, u" instead of a "no, u".
"I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring?"
The real Spock would have said '"I am not familiar with this competition. Would you care to explain the rules?"
This could be the start to an enemies-to-lovers fanfic.
