I watched the Mark Wahlberg Planet of the Apes recently. It takes place over a few days, and dude has a perfect depilated face the entire time.
Meanwhile, by the time I finish shaving my face, I need to start over again.

An old friend really has the fastest beard growth i've seen. Already in school he had that darkened beard placeholder, when freshly shaved. You could see the beard becoming conscious at noon and by the afternoon there it already was, at least an average 3 day beard, grown in a few hours.
Wish I could grow one at all lol.
