Why are these super old posts "hot" all of a sudden?

IDK, but it took me a good 30s touching the posts in your screenshot trying to figure out wth was happening.
That's one reason I don't like any view that loads the full picture, I just like to see the thumbnail then decide if I want to see the whole thing.

Are you using wefwef? Maybe try Memmy as I found the ordering of posts varies a lot from app to app
Yes it's wefwef, but I found the same happening in Liftoff too
It depends on the instance you use, not the app you choose.
I've seen this happen on Jerboa too

Wefwef. Did the same in Liftoff too though so I didn't think it was necessarily an app issue
As far as I can tell 'Hot' is just broken
Means they have active comments I believe.
