I've been using my space heater, concerned about the bill coming. my throat is scratchy from using the heater. I was thinking about putting a second pair of socks on to help.

Using a good blanket will often help more than layering up. The idea I believe being that the heat from your torso warms up your extremities, whereas extremities aren't as good in comparison at heating themselves, when compartmentalized.

Great advice! I love my blanket, but need something for my feet! maybe even a sleeping bag to bag up my feet!

A sleeping bag for your feet is Down Booties, they rock

Yeah a sleeping bag is the way to go here. Get a mummy bag if you can and just wrap up tight.

I have my blanket on me. I put on a second pair of socks and think it helped. But my nose is also cold.

I'm a big fan of electric blankets.

I got myself an electric blanket today! I think I'm going to start saving a lot of money not using this space heater!

I don't own one of these. but I think if I had one, I wouldn't have this sore throat from the heater. Smart!

FYI, we had flu b come through our house. Most only symptom was fever. People kept saying they were cold.

Weather says you have been having temps in the 40s and 50s. Sweats, hoodies, slippers, etc if you aren't used to this weather. This same weather here is unseasonably warm, and people are walking around anywhere between heavy coats and sleeveless shirts/shorts.
