So what you're saying is that we need a way to farm blood in a continuous and high-volume fashion?

So we're doing the vampires' jobs for them? Are we...the vampires?

no no no, we're the middlemen like with health insura-

yeah, yknow what? we're the vampires

I mean we'd pay people for their blood. It would give poor people a way to make mon-

Oh god dammit.

Maybe it only takes a little bit of blood? Does it have to be human blood? If the premise is that the energy comes from 'God's wrath' then it could be assumed that the energy generated by a single piston thrust is at least significantly higher than the caloric energy contained in the blood spritz itself.

Even better: vampires can be produced. Found guilty of genocide or some other unforgivable crime against humanity? You get bitten, and turned into another vampire, so you can produce green power for eternity.

I'm not sure making all the most heinous criminals immortal is as good an idea as you think.

And also making them eternally vengeful against those that tortured them for untold years, decades, generations just for power?

I mean, cut off the blood supply and leave them as ash. Seems like keeping them under control is quite feasible.

Vampires regenerate limbs so we can sever them and compost them with hydrogen producing bacteria to create hydrogen fuel cells.

This feels very dwarf-logic. I'm here for it.

So… a blood-powered engine? This is like saying ICEs are powered by spark plugs lol

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

They sort of are in a way, but only as a source of quick and easy fire. In this diagram, the blood and holy water are both consumed at a decent rate, making the engine actually powered by them. You could say it's powered by the collapse and regeneration of the vampire, but that's a perpetual and unavoidable side-effect of putting the holy water and blood into the chamber, much like the explosion in ICEs are the side effect of putting gas into a chamber and then sparking it.
