Saved you a click: Because interior rooms are just as large, while a lot cheaper. She doesn't consider the extra cost for a balcony she'll barely use worth it.

Seriously, how is this an article?

"I always order a small soda, and it's not because I'm cheap, it's because I don't want to drink a lot of soda. Like and subscribe for more money-saving tips!"

"Renting a car? I always get a subconpact, because I don't have a lot of stuff and it's less expensive. This let's me rent more cars because I pay less each time! Sign up for my newsletter for more value-travel advice!"

"When I go shopping for jewelry, I buy silver jewelry instead of gold. It's not that I can't afford gold jewelry, it's just that I like silver, and I can buy more of it. Connect to my RSS feed for updates on frugal spending habits!"

The author has been writing on BI for a year it seems, and only writes about cruise ships. I usually suspect this kind of thing of just being industry advertising. People haven't been taking cruises as much since all the bad press a few years ago about cruise ships being environmental disasters that the pandemic turned into giant floating sickrooms and coffins. So you find someone who blogs about how much they love to cruise and pay them to write some booster pieces about how inexpensive and fun it is! You can't trust anything online.
