This applies to earlier models too, paying the full MSRP price is usually a not a good idea as the Pixel phones get discounted quite frequently. Of course this depends on everyone's patience.

My motto: Pixels go on sale so, wait for the sale. Only been rocking my 8 Pro since black fridayish.

How do you like your 8? I'm on the 5a

I bought mine for full price (well I got a watch with it for "free") and I love it. The cameras are great, charges fast. I prefer having an actual back and home button, but if you're already on a pixel you're used to the gestures.

Definitely used to the gestures already so no complaints there. Glad to hear it sounds like a solid upgrade!

This is true for Samsung phones as well.

So true, I got my S23 256GB back in May for 700CAD, and that's with taxes. The reason I got it so cheap was because it was on sale, I'm a student and there was a 200$ credit if you traded-in an iPhone. So I got to sell them my iPhone 8 for 100$ more than I could have ever hoped to sell it for on Facebook or Kijiji! (Could have got 150$ max for it, sold it to them for 240$ with the credits)
