This applies to earlier models too, paying the full MSRP price is usually a not a good idea as the Pixel phones get discounted quite frequently. Of course this depends on everyone's patience.

This is true for Samsung phones as well.

So true, I got my S23 256GB back in May for 700CAD, and that's with taxes. The reason I got it so cheap was because it was on sale, I'm a student and there was a 200$ credit if you traded-in an iPhone. So I got to sell them my iPhone 8 for 100$ more than I could have ever hoped to sell it for on Facebook or Kijiji! (Could have got 150$ max for it, sold it to them for 240$ with the credits)
