So please be safe and stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to, ok?
We're chasing that dream-like feeling of floating free in the air and playing around, be it real or fantasy. Any post type that conveys this feeling is welcome. Check the post flairs for examples.
What qualifies for Floating Is Fun is open to interpretation. I encourage everyone to post what they like to see. Give us a gentle push and we'll float pretty far.
We started on Reddit /r/FloatingIsFun in 2021 and moved here in 2023. All 400+ posts from the original from the original subreddit have been reposted here, so you're not missing anything.

Did you just quote TLC?
I know that they're gonna quote a pop song or nothing at all.
Are you sure your not moving too fast?
As long as they are Rockin' the Suburbs, it'll all be alright.

...And that's it. Regrettably, there are no better official sources. It doesn't even appear on his Facebook or Bigcartel. Oh well.
Not to be confused with this Chasing Waterfall video
very cute
I dont want to be that guy, but I am going to be that guy. This user has made what is the top "hot" 5 posts on my all feed within the last hour. Some with hundreds of upvotes within minutes. Am I missing a new super popular community or is there some vote manipulation happening
Welcome! I don't know how this happened, either. Today kbin.social went down for upgrades for a couple hours. Over on my home instance fedia.io, I guess it made room on the front page for my posts to get some attention. It's just kind of snowballed today. People visiting Floating Is Fun from one post found my other posts today and liked them too. It's certainly cooling off now and soon I'll stop posting for the night.
I'm moving my humble 488-member subreddit to Kbin and taking all of my posts with me so they don't become lost media when Reddit inevitably collapses. I've been reposting about 10-15 per day until all 400+ posts are here. Today's posts have been from October 2021. I'm not normally this spammy. My posting here will greatly slow down once we're current.
