Out of the packet with a divot taken out. Makes it look just the same size. I'll be comparing weight in future.

Shrinkflation is so fucking patronising and misleading. I'd rather pay more for the same quantity than this nonsense.

100% agree. I'm not gonna say the average consumer is a genius, but they aren't that stupid. It's insulting.

Thank you for calling it by its right name. Insulting is exactly what it is

It was so disappointing when, after years of proudly stating that, unlike other brands, their multipack bags were full size, Seabrook crips quietly reduced their multipack sizes down to 25g.

Mars/Snickers in Australia have reached the point where the "Twin" bars are roughly the same weight that the original bars were 20 years ago.

I read this comment about two hours ago and it's only just clicking now. I may actually be an idiot.

So they took 100g away in total I assume as a lot of images online are showing each bar used to be 125g not 100.

I hate when things are subtly reduced when they think we'll not notice. I'm glad Lemmy is not that way. For, speaking of images, here is a link to my original picture. You may notice that the copy held in this thread has grown by 15kb. Well done Lemmy - no shrinkflation here.

Iceland frozen chips used to be 2.55kg for £2, then they reduced their bag size down to 1.5kg but kept the same price and the same "big value" design. Yeah, you didn't even do a good job of hiding it, Iceland.

Wait until you see the PepsiCo snacks price/size adjustments.

Don't ask me how I know. I don't work in the industry. Nope.

I bought some fingers for the first time in years. They had two options so I went for the larger "family pack". The box is slightly bigger but the amount of fingers is certainly less than or equal to what the normal size was when I last bought some, and even back then it was a quarter empty so always felt cheated. If I bought the normal size I'd be even more fuming.
