The name "Space Force" isn't any sillier than "Air Force", it's just that the Air Force has been around longer, so we're used to the name. Perhaps they should rename the army and navy to "Land Force" and "Water Force" as well...

The thing is, there already was a "space force", and that's NASA. Since it resembles a branch of military, what's this new force gonna fight, enemy satellites? Green invaders from outer space? If you add that it was approved by Trump and the logo looks a mix of StarTrek and Lego Space, imagine how seriously you can take them.
