For the first time in weeks, I woke up and it feels like Autumn/Winter. It's quite a nice refreshing break from the hardcore sun we've had recently. Makes you appreciate the sun more once it's back.

Yeah, I'm sorry about this it's all my fault. I bought a fan last week so now it's going to be cloudy for the rest of the summer.

Classic! Glad we found the culprit! Always the case though. Plan for a BBQ... Rain. Plan a day at the beach... Rain. Buy a fan... Rain.

Oh good, I thought it was my fault. That really hot Sunday we had I was exhausted and chose not to go out, repeating the statement ‘there will be more hot days’.

I love the heat and it’s killing me seeing most of July as low twenties with rain :(

Sorry everyone, I washed the car.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I put my shorts on so it's probably my fault too.

The rain is great for us Hayfever sufferers. The pollen was really obnoxious in June.

I always find it gets worse for a while initially after rain...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Mould spores?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Interesting. I will watch out for that.

Generally, it gets better or worse very slowly for me, now that I'm on Loratadine all year. (Used to miss the start of the season and start taking too late, and it would take a month to calm down). So its a day or more after we get rain that the sneezes drop off.

I actually had to phone my doctor and have them prescribe all the antihistamines. I usually get by with just a purifier, but June was an absolute nightmare.

I enjoy the mix up of weather we get in this country. One day hot and sunny, next day cool and raining.

My dad lived in South Spain. Lovely place to visit and the people were great, but I couldn't willingly live with all that sun.

I agree with this. I love the sun, but can't do hardcore sun 24/7. Maybe an 8:1 ratio of sun to rain haha.

It’s been pishing down here for about the last week or so. Kinda typical after I got all the garden stuff for sitting out the back door….

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Same here, at least a week for us. It's been very windy too! The rain is welcome though, I don't think the grass grew for about 6 weeks.

I know that no one really likes rain, but I am soo happy that the temperature dropped. It's just a niucance for me but It's crucial for me to have a good sleep.

A week ago it was 27°C in my bedroom at night with windows oppened. I had to sleep with a wet t-shirt and a fan which together made the night restless AF for me. Last night I sleept like a baby with 18°C in my room.

I got bored having a clean bike anyway

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

It's been pretty mild where I am for the most part, which I'm loving! An overcast or rainy day in summer is like a sunny day in winter.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

Yea trousers and hoody weather again, lovely!

[–] Gradually_Adjusting 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Has the wind found its way to you yet? Not a bird in the sky yesterday, they'd have been like airborne tumbleweeds.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not yet, down in Bristol so just had rain on and off so far.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That said the wind down here this past weekend, was pretty hellish at times. All my fault though for having a BBQ with the neighbours.

[–] Gradually_Adjusting 1 points 2 years ago

Give us a warning next time eh?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

I can't stand the heat, summer is my least favourite season. So I'm very glad of the break from higher temperatures!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I could not agree more. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the sunny climates but sometimes that break is just needed. Plus, sounding really old now, my garden needed the rain!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Pretty sure my grass is dead. Not been green for 2 months now..

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Well fingers crossed we get the absolute downpour we keep being promised. So far it has been quite sporadic. Well apart from the 15 minute downpour on Sunday while I was painting a fence (like it waited for me to do that).

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

A day off from watering the plants is always a win!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Usually Im quite uncomfortable in the hot weather, but I had just gotten around to the idea of it and have even started embracing it!

Now its been overcast and windy for the past week near my haha. Usually I'd be thankful but for some reason its getting me a bit down.
