Thanks for this! I already use Memmy on mobile but this is a nice alternative to have.

I'm not overly worried. There are plenty of Mastodon servers out there that have been running happily for years on donations. The running costs, while I'm sure aren't insignificant, are also nowhere near what it takes for somewhere like Reddit.

The good thing with the Fediverse is that the more users it attracts, the more servers spring up to accomodate. That's kind of the whole point, to balance the load between servers rather than have everyone on the same one.

Thanks for the reminder, just made a small donation. I agree this instance is great! I first made an account on lemmy.world then made this one with the intention of keeping it for UK and more niche interest stuff, so it doesn't get lost in a sea of memes. But I might just make this my main account instead.

I can't stand the heat, summer is my least favourite season. So I'm very glad of the break from higher temperatures!

Too many.

I'm not counting and you can't make me! :D

I'm also a huge fan of Diamine's Aurora Borealis! It's a lovely ink that I use year round.

Umm... that would depend on your definition of "cool" I suppose. But I found a fountain pen community that I'm very glad exists here! [email protected]

This is pretty much me. But you never know, I may stay a non lurker!

I'm just getting over a nasty bout of flu. It was very weird having a temperature during a heatwave, all of that extra heat was not helpful.

That's great!

And thanks for letting me in, hoping to contribute towards that active user count.
