Reminds me of my idea of "proletarian chess"
The royal pieces are in front, and the way you lose is by all your pawns dying.
Also, if you lose one of your leader pieces, you can use your turn to promote a pawn to replace it.
You get two queens instead of a king too because the king's entire point and role has been reassigned, making it a fancy looking pawn.
