From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Unfortunately Tenacity is not in Debian repos, and compiling it is not straightforward.

It's available as a verified flatpak on flathub. No compilation necessary.

Do be aware that users have reported issues running the flatpak on Mint; unsure if it would be the same for Debian. There is a workaround, and it fixes the issue completely (yes that issue is on the Audacity GitHub, but the same applies to Tenacity according to their release notes)

It is, however, in the Arch repos, if you want to try giving that a spin.

I'm not that brave :-) I need my pc for making music, and stability is a must.

If this is your attitude towards arch, you really don't know the first thing about it. I've been daily driving it for over 5 years and i have only ever had it break because of something i did.
