Yeah, but they don't have to do it well, because now she's not a disabled old lady, she's a degenerative criminal who barely deserves a concrete bed and gruel.

At least, that's my understanding of how the prison system works. No such thing as rehabilitation and building people up in the US penitentiary, just breaking people down until they're nothing.
