Could be the only car they can afford/get a hold of right now. You drive what you can, cars are fucking expensive.
Smaller cars are cheaper than pickup trucks
Not when you get it for free from a relative or friend
And then you pay for custom plates?
Let's not pretend that custom plates are "expensive" on the scale of vehicles. They're usually pretty cheap, in fact those smokey the bear ones cost a whopping $40 extra. You aren't getting a fancier truck or car for $40.
This comment has big "you spent $8 on coffee this week and you wonder why you can't afford a house" energy
That's definitely a fair criticism.
