What are your thoughts on this series? For me it's obviously 10/10 but every little detail I notice re-watching some of the scenes make that 10 so much more deserved. Everything from storytelling, animation, voice acting to even background sound make it so polished. Really hoping for season 2.
I think it's an absolute masterpiece, it's going to age like a fine wine. I know a lot of folks had their reservations regarding the second half, I definitely was worried when I saw the cast was suddenly tripling in size, but now that the arc is over I think they did a wonderful job of introducing interesting and multi-faceted characters while still leaving room for some of them to grow and show off more of what they can do. It really made them feel like 'real' people (in that world,) independent of the main characters, something the story in general does a great job of, unlike so many other series that try to juggle several dozen character's entire arcs in the span of a season.
The show could end now and I would be satisfied with it, but it's really nice to see how much it exploded and that there's more content to come. Hopefully that doesn't mean the quality gets watered down, it'd be a shame for this season to be lightning in a bottle compared to the rest.
