With every episode I love this series even more. The whole party now has such a comfy atmosphere that it's really a blessing for this wonderful world.

I heard really good things about it and I really want to play it but it's so hard to make time for anything nowadays... I'll do so though. Hopefully soon.

Here you go. It's an official website btw so no need to worry about viruses and stuff. I downloaded it and it sits on my hard drive for more than a year at this point. I really need to make time for it.

I'd say that Frieren is even more well known since it literally sits on top of the charts in most anime ranking sites

Well one could assume that most people in this community will recognize both of them since they both come from very popular shows. One of these shows even sits currently on the top of all the time in most anime ranking sites.
Both shows are actually very unique and thought-provoking with little to none fan service. (IMHO this meme wouldn't be so funny if it was about "pervy" shows)
There are no harems and no cat girls, instead we got well written characters and a great story. (Well we got an elf and a wolf but that's not important) I could say way more why these shows are amazing but I'll just say: go watch them! Both are worth your time.

As for characters...

  • Top - Übel from "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End"
  • Bottom - Holo from "Spice and Wolf"

This outfit really is like from the video game right? Poor Himmel, his gamer heart could not take this well.

I'm honestly curious just how much AI is being used here. All of Itos works look very good

As someone who watched the original anime from 2008 and read LNs I can tell you that there's a lot to uncover. While in my opinion animation is better than it was in 2008, I feel it lacks that bit of magic original had. Opening is good, though I liked old one more. As for story coin plot is just a beginning. There's going to be a lot more of those and every one of them is really thought out. Lawrence is not like those 200 IQ protagonists that are always 10 steps ahead. He's just a quite smart human, not more than that. He will have his ups and downs. Overall a very well written character. It will be clear by the end of the season or even sooner.

Honestly surprised not many people mentioned Bokuyaba S2 (The Dangers in My Heart). It's a really good rom-com. Not many series had such a great character development.
For me it's in the top 3 of this season alongside Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries.
