So was this a Dune reference?

I don't think we even have any relatively-reliable confirmation whether it's an intentional Dune reference. But it kinda seems like it couldn't possibly not be. I've seen "fan theories" that maybe all the lyrics in that song are at least metaphorical references to Dune, but that seems a little more of a stretch to me.
