Kinda wish we wouldn't show contempt for people making an honest living providing a needed service for the world.
I was a tech and got my engineering degree and now manage techs. A good tech is worth their weight in gold and given the average size of them that is a lot. Respect the hell out of what they do for a living and I am very much aware that I have a higher paying job because I was lucky enough to go to uni and they weren't.
Or pay them similarly.
Me and my wife were both deemed essential and there was a sign on our block thanking us for our service during the virus. So many times I had a fantasy of torching that sign.
Just pay us more instead of thanking us.
