I have not watched Starship Troopers in over a decade, but I watched it today, because of this game. (self.helldivers2)

It is better than I remember. The visual effects are far better than should have been possible for the time. The story is exquisite. As I watched it all I could think was "For Democracy!'

I remember a child (A CHILD!) walking out of the theater with his dad. That poor kid had the thousand-yard stare, and almost definitely PTSD.

Starship Troopers is funny and a great piece of political satire, but it’s also violent as fuck.
