I stopped doing fast food a long time ago. My burgers are way better now. Its just not worth it if you have a kitchen

The point of fast food is not to get a great burger, it's to get someone else to make you a mediocre burger fast either because you're in a hurry or you're tired and you don't feel like cooking

I don't think anyone has ever claimed that a McDonald's cheeseburger is better than a homemade one lol

It used to be fast and cheap, what happened to the cheap part?

Whenever I eat at burger king or McDonald's (which is almost never) I have to download their stupid apps for the coupons because without a 2 for 1 coupon the prices are just ridiculous for what you get. Actually, nevermind. The prices are still ridiculous even with the coupon

Corporate profiteering, mostly.

Yeah I get that. I just got used to it and now its just another thing I do all the time. Now I come home half dead and whip up a dinner no problem. The only reason I would recommend fast food over home cooking is if you are disabled.

Cool... So next time I'm on a long trip and I need something quick for lunch I'll just pull over on the side of the highway and set up the camp stove? Should be no problem 👌

I pack lunches. But yeah there's gonna be edge cases like that. I'd imagine long haul truck drivers probably dont cook often either. But for the average American I'm confident fast food and even restaurants are largely unnecessary.

You could go to a normal restaurant. But yeah, usually fast food is faster, but that's because it's at the truck stop, not because you get the food so fast

Truck stop? I think I got fast food at a truck stop once like 10 years ago lol the ones I go to are normally just stand alone restaurants with a drive through. The only reason I go there is if I'm in a hurry and there's no other options because it's faster than going to a regular sit down restaurant

They are also consistent. Wherever you go you know you can order a mediocre burger at any fast food chain store for the familiar price, without researching what ratings and menus local restaruants have. McD, KFC, BK - their eateries are very similar across continents.
