Divinity Original Sin 2 I think, or Baulders Gate 3

It is Divinity, they fixed that particular issue in Baldurs Gate 3 because too many people were joking about it. Now the chests change to empty when you loot them.

Nope, divinity original sin 2

Ah fuck. I always manage to get the two confused.

Close enough, its still a Larian Studios game.

I would pay good money to see them put The Red Prince and Astarion in the same room to see what happens.

BG1 and 2 were made by Bioware back when they still made good RPGs.

Oooh. I played BG1, but never 2. Heard it was good but just never had the time. :)

BG2 is like 20 years old. BG3 is nothing like the previous titles.

Yeah, I bought it on a steam sale and it sits in my library waiting to be played. I'd need to replay BG1 though first because I'm a sucker that wants to import my save into BG2 for reasons ;)

If it helps, there's very little that carries over between the two games. Without any spoilers, you lose your gear at the start of the BG2, most of which doesn't carry over anyway. You will start with the level you finished BG1 with, but BG2 boosts brand new characters to a certain level anyway. And I don't think the games track decisions made throughout like modern RPGs do.

That said, I played it years before Beamdog released that interlude DLC, so maybe things have changed in their Enhanced releases of the games.
