I can't believe Twitter is also imploding, now where am I supposed to unapologetically fan girl and talk about reality tv without the prying eyes of people I know IRL???
Not surprised it’s imploding. Things turn shittier once Musk took over
It’s like everything is sort of imploding at the moment. First Reddit then Twitter, not that I used it much mind you.
Basically culling out it’s primary purpose and it’s existence.
Mastodon. That's the fediverse version Twitter. It's fun!
Bluesky or Mastodon? Both are federated, one's just a lot harder to get onto.
I'll probably try Bluesky eventually, I haven't heard good things about Mastodon.
@MisssDarylC @Hanhula lol. I am literally reading this post, and replying, from Mastodon. The Fediverse and Threadiverse are united by a common protocol called #ActivityPub, so it's like you can post to Reddit from your Twitter account. Except it's better, because nothing is owned exclusively by rich people trying to get richer, or in Space Karen's case, trying to destroy "the left" 🙄
What happened with Twitter?
They've limited the amount of tweets you can view, it's 600 for those that don't pay and 6000 for those that do. You also can't send a tweet if you've reached your limit. They also stopped tweets from being able to be shared on outside sources. It's like they're trying to kill twitter.
Wtf, is this to get more people to pay for Twitter or something?
Yeah I think so, the other theory is that Elon bought it for too much and decided to kill it but overestimated people's level of care in terms of leaving and now they're really just applying themselves in killing it.
